Targeting + List Building
Score accounts based on buying signals: job posts, funding, tech stack changes, leadership moves. Prioritize the accounts most likely to buy. Free Claude skill.
[signal-score]The Problem
You have a list of 500 target accounts. Which 50 should you call this week? Without signal-based scoring, the answer is usually "whatever order they're in the spreadsheet" or "whoever the rep feels like contacting." Neither is a strategy.
Buying signals exist everywhere — job postings, funding announcements, tech stack changes, leadership hires, product launches — but collecting and weighting them across hundreds of accounts is a manual nightmare. By the time you've researched an account's signals, the window of opportunity may have closed.
The companies that buy from you aren't random. They're experiencing specific events that create urgency. The problem is identifying which accounts are experiencing those events right now, before your competitor does.
What It Does
Signal Scorer evaluates accounts against buying signals relevant to your product and market. It assigns weighted scores based on signal strength, recency, and relevance, then ranks accounts into priority tiers so your team knows exactly where to focus.
Every output includes:

Example
[signal-score] Score these accounts based on buying signals for our sales engagement platform:
1. Acme Corp — just raised Series B, posting 4 SDR roles
2. Beta Inc — new CRO started 2 months ago, using HubSpot sequences
3. Gamma Co — stable, no recent changes, already using Outreach| Signal | Weight | Recency |
|---|---|---|
| Series B funding | +25 | This month |
| 4 SDR job postings | +30 | Active now |
| Team scaling signal | +20 | Implied |
| No engagement platform detected | +17 | Current |
Timing: Urgent — hiring SDRs means they need engagement tooling within 60 days
Action: Direct outreach to VP Sales or Head of Sales Dev this week
| Signal | Weight | Recency |
|---|---|---|
| New CRO hire | +20 | 2 months ago |
| Using HubSpot sequences | +15 | Current (likely outgrowing) |
| No other signals detected | +0 | — |
Timing: Medium — new CROs typically evaluate tools in months 3-6
Action: Add to nurture sequence, time outreach for month 4-5
| Signal | Weight | Recency |
|---|---|---|
| Already using Outreach | -30 | Current (incumbent) |
| No change signals | +0 | Stable |
Timing: Low — switching costs are high, no urgency detected
Action: Monitor for contract renewal signals or dissatisfaction indicators
Accounts scored: 3
Scoring model: Signal-weighted with timing adjustment
Signal categories: Funding, hiring, tech stack, leadership, intent
Time to generate: ~10 seconds

Type `[signal-score]` followed by a list of accounts with whatever context you have — company names, recent news, tech stack, hiring data. The skill scores each account and ranks them by priority.
Use Cases
Score your target accounts every Monday morning. Focus your best reps on Tier 1 accounts with active buying signals and automate Tier 3 with nurture sequences.
When a lead comes in from your website, score their company's signals to determine urgency. A demo request from a company that just raised funding gets a same-day call.
Run your old account list through Signal Scorer to find companies whose situation has changed. Accounts that were Tier 3 six months ago might be Tier 1 now.
Create separate outbound campaigns for each tier — aggressive direct outreach for Tier 1, content-led nurture for Tier 2, light-touch monitoring for Tier 3.
When your VP asks why you're focusing on certain accounts, show the signal scores. Data-backed prioritization replaces gut-feel territory planning.
