Instantly Co-Pilot V2: Your AI-Powered Sales Team in One Tool

The future of B2B sales just got a major upgrade. Instantly's Co-Pilot V2 transforms how sales teams approach prospecting, research, and outreach by combining the expertise of an agency, account manager, and researcher into a single AI assistant. If you're evaluating sales AI tools, compare Instantly with alternatives like Smartlead or Lemlist.

What Makes Co-Pilot V2 a Game-Changer for Cold Email

Unlike standalone AI tools, Co-Pilot V2 integrates directly into your Instantly account, creating a seamless workflow from research to campaign execution. This isn't just another chatbot – it's a comprehensive sales automation system that handles the entire prospecting pipeline.

Advanced Web Research for B2B Sales

One of the most powerful features is the integrated web research capability. You can simply tell Co-Pilot: "I sell AI-powered project management software to marketing leaders in the retail industry. Find five recent news articles I can share with them."

This enables what's known as third-party follow-ups – a proven strategy that references external sources to add value. Instead of generic "bump" messages, you're sharing relevant, timely content that positions you as a valuable resource. For broader AI-powered sales training, check out ClaudeGTM.

Transparent AI Processing

Co-Pilot V2 shows you exactly what it's doing at each step. You can watch as it:

  • Analyzes your request
  • Searches the internet
  • Evaluates which tools to use
  • Finds and filters relevant information

This transparency builds trust and helps you understand the AI's decision-making process.

Advanced Lead Generation and Prospecting

The real power emerges when you combine research with lead generation. Here's a practical example:

  1. Research Command: "Find 10 companies that reported a cybersecurity incident in the past 6 months"
  2. Contact Discovery: "Find the CTO for each of these companies and get their email addresses"
  3. Campaign Creation: Build targeted sequences referencing their specific security challenges

From Research to Campaign in One Workflow

What sets Co-Pilot V2 apart is the ability to seamlessly transition from research to campaign execution. Once you've identified prospects and relevant talking points, you can immediately:

  • Create personalized email sequences
  • Reference specific articles or incidents
  • Build targeted campaigns for different segments
  • Launch outreach campaigns without switching platforms

Actionable Strategies for Using Co-Pilot V2

1. Industry-Specific Research

Use Co-Pilot to monitor industry trends, funding announcements, or regulatory changes that affect your prospects. This creates natural conversation starters and demonstrates market awareness.

2. Event-Triggered Prospecting

Identify companies experiencing specific events (like security breaches, leadership changes, or expansion announcements) that create buying opportunities for your solution.

3. Third-Party Content Curation

Regularly ask Co-Pilot to find relevant articles, studies, or reports your prospects would find valuable. Use these for nurture sequences and follow-up campaigns.

4. Competitive Intelligence

Research what your competitors are doing, recent announcements, or customer wins to inform your positioning and messaging.

The Integrated Advantage

While tools like ChatGPT can perform web research, Co-Pilot V2's integration with Instantly's email platform creates a complete automation workflow. You're not copying and pasting between tools – everything happens within your sales stack. For lightweight utilities to prep data before enriching, see our tools page.

This integration means:

  • Faster campaign creation
  • Consistent data flow
  • Reduced manual work
  • Better tracking and analytics
  • Seamless team collaboration

Getting Started with Co-Pilot V2

Instantly offers a 2-week free trial of Co-Pilot V2, making it risk-free to test these capabilities with your own use cases. The key is starting with specific, actionable requests rather than broad queries.

Begin with simple research tasks, then gradually incorporate the lead generation and campaign building features as you become comfortable with the interface.

The Future of AI-Powered Sales

Co-Pilot V2 represents a significant step toward truly autonomous sales processes. By combining research, prospecting, and campaign creation in one conversational interface, it eliminates much of the manual work that slows down sales teams.

For B2B sales professionals, this isn't just about efficiency – it's about accessing the kind of comprehensive research and personalization that was previously only available to large teams with dedicated resources.

So instantly just released co-pilot v2 and I'm very excited. We are so much closer now to a future where teams can just chat with their co-pilot that serves as a world-class agency, account manager and a researcher allin-one. Now, some of the things that have been added to V2 are, for example, web research. And one really cool use case for that that I'm excited about is where you can say something like, um, I sell AI power project management software to marketing leaders in the retail industry. Five, you know, find five recent news articles for me I can share with them. Um, and that way you can set up what I call like a third-party follow-up where you reference a third-party source with something valuable. You use that for your follow-up. And um, I've seen and I've also seen others have a lot of success with that recently where that really is the main um, follow-up type that brings success instead of just, you know, bumping it up or what have you. One of the other improvements is also the UX improvement where you can really see the steps that has taken. So where is thinking? It's searching the internet. So where is thinking is figuring out which tool it should use and it's searching the internet and then it's finding the articles. Now that's great because you know it's it's it's helpful but it's something that chat GPT could do for you as well, right? But then the cool part is you can take this and you can say okay now take this article or that that article and actually use that in a sequence or link to it or reference in a sequence in a follow-up and you can just chat with your co-pilot here and it will start building sequences campaigns. It can uh find leads for you and raise leads for you. You can open new chat. You can say go online and find 10 companies that have reported a cyber security incident in the past 6 months. So it will search the internet. it will find companies that report a cyber security incident. Um and then the cool part is that from within here you can tell okay now find me the CEO of that company for example. So um find me the CTO okay now find me the CTO for these companies and get their email address. And as we're here we can actually see the list that it created. So found CTO's at these companies that we know that just had a cyber security incident in the past 6 months. And that's just one of the many things it can do. And the best part is you can do all of it just from here from inside your instantly account. So Copilot has been a total game changer for me. And I bet it can do the same for you. But the best part is you can now try it out for 2 weeks for free. So, no reason why you shouldn't try it
